“Because books aren’t just books, it’s different. They’re not just paper and ink and covers and illustrations and the glue that holds the binding together. Books are ideas and thoughts and knowledge. They’re little bits of something else, someone else, bits and pieces that help to shape us into who we are as a person. How many times have you tried to be like a character in a book? Or done something that you read about in a book? Books help us form our own ideas about life, about who we are and what we want and where we’re going. Books open up new worlds that we never would have gotten to otherwise. They inspire us to do things, to create things, to live one way or another or so many ways all at once. Books shape us, they help us become who we are as people.”
this is so true (:
book changes people in a way that people never thought they can be changed.
